Towns End Bindery<p>Ubik by PKD<br>⏰⏳📺</p><p>Here’s a reel that depicts what I intended to be the overall experience of holding and opening this book. The dust cover depicts the Ubik and the advertisement on the back in relatively normal fashion, only to be revealed as distorted and regressed once the dust cover is removed. Towns End Bindery<p>Ubik by PKD</p><p>📺⏰⏳</p><p>I went all out on this one. It was a LOT of work: Hand painted end papers, original cover design, original typeset (made in MS Word), custom vintage advertisements, hand sewn endbands, and chisel-trimmed fore edge. </p><p>And when all was said and done, I found a glaring typo while flipping through the finished product. 😮‍💨</p><p>Oh well. Nacho<p>34. Ubik (Philip K. Dick). Cando tiña vintepoucos anos deume moi forte por Philip K. Dick, pero moito. Lin compulsivamente case todo o que había en castelán e ademais cada verán durante varios anos relín a marabillosa biografía de Emmanuel Carrère sobre PKD. E de todo o que lin del, Ubik está nun top 3 canda Valis e The man in the high castle do que non podería escoller un favorito. Coa escusa da nova tradución ao galego decidín reler Ubik cun certo medo. E se a tiña idealizada e agora xa non a desfrutaba tanto? Afortunadamente non foi tal. Agora nos meus corenta e tantos Ubik é tan disfrutábel ou máis.
