The fundamental problem with the west, Trump & Elon Musk in my opinion is:
Most of us can’t imagine somebody could be rich & famous out of sheer luck.
Success worship blinds at least half the population.
Not only that, but it also creates genuinely scary stuff like evangelical prosperity gospel, where success comes from god and is therefore infallibly right.
