Western Skunk Cabbage (Lysichiton americanus), emerging from a small stream. I love this plant, for one, it has a rich history with the First Nations https://inaturalist.ca/posts/86272-western-skunk-cabbage , but it's a typical sign of nature switching from winter to spring, especially in the alpine, where it will breach melting snow. #plantphotography #nature #hiking #britishcolumbia #pnw

One of the leaves of my Drosera capensis, a carnivorous plant that has helped control the gnat population in my indoor garden. Saw it catching the sun and figured it deserved a photo!

A thin, tongue-shaped green leave extends out and curls downward slightly, bristling with very long red tendrils that are tipped with clear droplets of fluid. These droplets are glimmering in reflected sunlight.

Nature paints with a bold palette of colours and shapes, soft and sharp.

Browsing my archives I came across these ones that I'd saved to a different folder than I usually do and had thus forgotten about.

These are a bit older. I used to visit local botanical gardens with a camera in tow and admire all the tiny details. I tried to take photos with emphasis on color, shape and mood while just enjoying a stroll.
