Nie tyle co w ramach promocji czytelnictwa (bo nie piętnuję osób nie mających czasu i/lub przestrzeni na czytanie), a dla zainteresowania tytułami, autor[k]ami i wysławiania pod niebiosa instytucji jaką jest biblioteka - będę tu czasem wrzucał zdjęcia książek!
Zacznę od czegoś lekkiego - od drugiego tomu serii "Mnich i Robot" autorstwa Becky Chambers.
Książka ta jest jak "filiżanka ciepłej herbaty zaparzonej przez kogoś, kto cię kocha". Przyznam, że nigdy nie widziałem takiej recenzji z tyłu książki - zwykle takowe skupiają się na wartkiej akcji i charyzmatycznych bohater[k]ach, ale ta pozycja jest inna niż wszystkie. Reprezentuje wyjątkowy nurt literacki (a raczej filozoficzny) - Solar Punk!
Najłatwiej będzie zrozumieć ten fenomen poprzez zestawienie z Cyberpunkiem, którego zapewne kojarzycie. CP to dystopijna wizja świata rozdzieranego przez szpony dzikiego kapitalizmu niszczącego tkankę społeczną, której to wizji przeciwstawia się samotny rebeliant-indywidualista.
Solarpunk to kompletna tego odwrotność, próba dostrzeżenia światełka w tunelu, przyszłość oparta o życie w zgodzie z naturą, powrót do zdemokratyzowanego działania w łonie społeczności lokalnych, gdzie nie ma niezwyciężonych bohaterów, jest tylko (aż!) integrująca pomoc wzajemna.
Na marginesie - jest to pierwsza książka na polskim rynku wydawniczym (o której wiem), która stosuje zaimki neutralne płciowo 
Jeszcze wczoraj nie pamiętałem o istnieniu tej pozycji, - okładka wyeksponowana frontem na bibliotecznej półce przykuła mój wzrok i... połknąłem ją w całości w jeden wieczór (mimo, że naprawdę wolno czytam). Chyba nie mam daru przekonywania, ale cóż, serdecznie polecam Wam ten cykl, ba, cały solarpunkowy nurt!
Na koniec fragment manifestu solarpunkowego:

A kids TV program (Hey Duggee) has a raccoon that hasn't had a gender assigned to it. Not even deliberately, but it's an animated raccoon - why would you think it necessary to assign a gender.
The show refers to "their siblings". And a load of snowflake-incel-bed-wetters get upset.
