Zines are an important way of tracking history, particularly the history of social movements — they were crucial organizing tools for protests and community action as well as vehicles for artistic expression. Now, they're becoming part of museum and archive collections. Atlas Obscura discusses their importance for queer and trans communities in the past and today, where they're enjoying a resurgence.
