To make a holder for their bobbins, for making bobbin lace.

The bobbins they 3D printed at the library.

Sometimes I crochet things just for my own enjoyment and amusement. Like Puddleduck, a duck in a puddle His feet tuck into the hollows in the puddle so that they are hidden when he is "swimming".

Here is a fairly recent ( I really must get around to updating my website with these!) Kids' Drawing story make for a wee girl, who was very specific with her instructions to me on the drawing, and then also via her Mum who ensured I made the head cream and not yellow, gave her blue eyes, and added in the brown fringe I decided to also add the rest of the hair and make the hoodie removable from the head and added a little green skirt and some black shoes.

A recent Kids' Drawing Toy crochet make. I just received a lovely photo of the wee boy with his toy smiling away, which always melts my heart Note that the green used for the toy is actually close to the shade in the drawing, but my phone camera always seems to change green for some reason.

Ontario trilliums! This piece started as a sample for my spring wildflowers #needlefelting class. After the class, I took it out of the hoop it was in, did lots more needle felting, and then #wetfelted it. Now it’s mounted on a black felt covered canvas - and truly finished.

Needle felted trilliums - three blooms with stems and leaves. Multicoloured background. Somewhat circular shape mounted on black felt.

Wild Strawberry

This one is #needlefelted on felt, and framed in a painted embroidery hoop. I started it as a demo in the spring wildflowers class and then fine tuned it last night. Strawberries feel hopeful and cheerful to me

Here is one of my needle-felting pieces—this one’s Crail Harbour. Just putting it out there!

A needle-felted artwork of Crail Harbour, a coastal village in Scotland. The piece has a soft, textured look with pastel-like fibres blending together. It's not often i find a crochet stitch where i love both the front and back equally

this is half-double crochet in two back loops. The front gives sort of a stripey or twisted rope feel, while the back becomes an even fabric with an almost hexagonal structure. I'm gonna retry it with a larger hook to see if i can open up the hexagons and make them more visible. To be continued!
