I'm german, have been living since nearly 40 years in France, mostly in Brittany, now retired from University - continue independant and free research, speaking three languages, even if English isn't my most spontaneous tongue, I wanted to do this in english.
I came here like many others, I suppose, exhausted by hate speech on X, publicity, reels, influencers and a lot of other shit on facebook, instagram, etc., but I'm not really a fan of microblogging, that's why facebook did the job for me nearly 15 years. After a first account on mastodon.social @danahilliot with his long posts made me discover climatejustice.social - so it's not only the aims but also the possibility to develop an idea without cutting it in little pieces.
I'm interested in #decolonial #theories, #activism, #global thinking, because euro or occident centered ideas ar obsolete for me in all domains, social, economic, political, ecological and so on. After been formed by #Foucald #Benjamin, #Deleuze, #Derrida reading and studying in the 90ies, nowadays inspirations of mine are mostly Donna #Haraway, Ariella Aisha #Azoulay, Eyal #Weizman, Anna Loewenhaupt #Tsing, but I never stop discovering and go back to older reading periods.
I'm reading a lot (essays, fiction and non-fiction) and have now the time to do it, as I have the time for a lot of movies and other medias, any of them is influential in my thinking and writing.

hey y'all! isaac has reached his previous goals & is now doing a fundraiser to keep TINN (the indigenous nightmare network) alive! (if you haven't watched their videos, you should!)

$920 needed 💸

if you don't know, isaac is an afro-indigenous decolonial journalist & has been seeking funds for mutual aid. now, he focuses this request to continue to sustain a decolonial media network that's over 3 years old.

the network also has plans to help finish a short film & conduct in-person oral interviews with indigenous communities in the bay and communist orgs as well. please share to help make this happen! :anarchoheart2:

#AntiRacismo #Blanquitud #Decolonial

This is the only #SocialMedia that I have ever felt comfortable enough to be my full #AuDHD self participating in. My past social media experiences, prior to 2022, were all huge corporate owned ones with fucked up algorithms. I never felt really safe on those huge social media platforms. I felt that masking on those, almost all the time - kept me safer & under NT radars more. Just fake it to survive, basically.

It's not 100% safe anywhere online for very outspoken, #decolonial folks like me but there is a small safer harbour. As a longtime POC activist with an ND brain - I've felt more like I belong here, than in the corporate owned online spaces.

@germany: "The only substantive difference in the opposition pitting the political parties who are seen as capable of contributing to governance and those who are deemed inadmissible (i.e. the AfD) is that the former believe that it is acceptable to ethnically cleanse and settler colonise in Palestine, whereas the latter is of the opinion that ethnic cleansing should be performed at home too. A defense of the right to colonise across the seas is seen by mainstream opinion as crucial to maintaining political coherence, whereas the AfD is unwilling to abide by the classic colonial distinction separating colony and metropole. It is an uncanny predicament: both sides are thinking about colonialism, one implicitly proclaiming its admissibility somewhere, the other its desirability everywhere. And yet neither is referring to it."

What is Structural #Injustice? This is the title of the first #OpenAccess book bringing together top researchers in this area of #PoliticalTheory to address this fundamental question.

The edited volume is interdisciplinary including perspectives from #philosophy, #PoliticalSciences and #law as well as #decolonial and #feminist approaches.

It's one of the 🏆 17 eligible case studies submitted for our #OpenResearch Award 2024.

Trying to migrate to mastodon.social for a more social experience here.

I’m micha, an artist and professor. I teach critical race and ethnic studies, #gamedesign #climatejustice, #trans studies, #algorithmicanalysis and #decolonial thought at a university in #california.

I love #dnd , #criticalrole and #ttrpg ‘s.

I have a new baby so I may be posting about parenting stuff, but I’m mostly thinking a lot about Gaza, #notechforgenocide , climate activism, and infosec lately

To give a positive note to my usually grim posts about #russia, the closing words of #MikhailZygar’s book: ”War and Punishment” are priceless.

They are, because it’s #decolonial text about Russia written by a russian.

The voice of russians who want the country to end getting high on their own supply of imperial bravado may be muffled, but it still exists.

There are still russians who would make reparations of their past sins against so many peoples.
