Thoughts about Celeste (i finished the main arc yesterday) are still quite jumbled, but my main one is that they should've had a level designer. Characters, adorable. Gameplay, spot on. Narrative, surprisingly strong. But after a while the levels are just switch, block, boopy thing, repeat repeat repeat; screen after endless screen, no instrinsic fun or motivation. No sense of place, no reason to explore.
