Sunset at St Catherine's Lighthouse, taken a couple of evenings ago.

This is my favourite part of the Island and is the most southerly point.

A white lighthouse and cottages in a field next to a steely calm sea. The sun is about to emerge from behind a cloudbank just before it sets. The sky is overcast but the horizon is aglow with yellow and orange colour.

The crescent moon over the Needles, taken just before it set yesterday. The moon appears full thanks to Earthshine and the super clear conditions.

The light on the water is actually coming from Venus, which was very bright in the sky. I'll post a wider angle view shortly, where Venus is very prominent.

It was so tranquil down on Ventnor beach yesterday evening.

Down on a beach at night. The calm sea reflecting both the light from the moon and the hotels and bars along the coastline. Large rocks are on the left hand side of the image, the sea lapping around them to the right. A peaceful scene.

My husband has just sent me this pic that he took during our walk at Bonchurch yesterday. It seems somewhat spookily fitting right now

The picture shows the window of an Italian coffee bar at night. We only see the glass of the window, which can only be guessed due to some reflections. On the window is the name of the bar "il BARetto" (the small letters in a kind of handwritten script, the capital letters in block letters with shadows). Below there is a sign with a red border and the inscription "CHIUSO" in red letters. The window is completely covered on the inside by pleated blinds, illuminated by the room light. The tones are soft and warm and light brown in color.
