Rachel Thorn 🍉🇺🇦🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
(Yes, they apparently flew to the Moon in wooden ships with flapping wings, although the ships are powered by electricity.) It is so unbelievably moronic. (It's also somewhat difficult to read, since the Japanese language used in such writing in 1907 was rather different from modern Japanese.) I recommend it only if you can read circa-1907 Japanese and want to experience the "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?" that I experienced. Oshikawa was apparently fixated on writing science fiction and was a great admirer of Jules #Verne (whose major works had been translated into Japanese by that point), but he seems to think he doesn't need any science in his science fiction. Or even any imagination!? Verne's works were packed with science! (4/5)
