SamanthaAnother one of my favorites...CROCHET! I had a little etsy business at one point. I did pretty good, had fairly consistent orders. The thing about that is...taking something you do to relax and turning it into a business was a mistake. Putting absolutely ridiculous time frames for completing on myself was my first mistake. The second, not valuing my time and my commodity. I often priced myself so low that I was "earning" like $2.50 per hour I spent on the projects, or less! And so, I let the etsy business fizzle out and go dark. Will I ever sell my creations again? Maybe. But my love for crochet will be forever...even if my arthritis has other opinions. BecWe were going to head over to a really nice beach/national park today but Kid1 had a headache and I had a case of the mehs. So we decided we'd go another day and stayed at home instead, and it was... great, actually?Kid1 went back to bed and got up again some hours later, in a vastly better mood; I cleaned the study and the laundry; Kid2, Kid3 and I went to the shop where I picked up a bargain reduced 3-pack of zucchinis for less than a dollar, can you believe it?! When we got home, I made zucchini pancakes for a casual, eat-as-many-as-you-like Sunday night tea. Kid2 cut up the watermelon and everyone wandered in and out of the kitchen, snacking on watermelon and zucchini pancakes, chatting about muscle mass, the dog, the dog's upcoming surgery (he'll be neutered this week), neurodiversity, possibly going to the beach tomorrow (a different one), childhood books, how much we really love fruit, and whether or not we know anyone with ripe lemons on their tree at the moment (we do).
