Jeff Fortin T.<p>Oh great, I seem to have found a heisenbug in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Mutter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mutter</span></a>'s handling of obscured windows for emitting the "suspended" state (i.e. to allow apps to throttle themselves and save power when they are hidden by another window on top of them): <a href="https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/3634#note_2404120" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/</span><span class="invisible">-/issues/3634#note_2404120</span></a></p><p>It seems to happen randomly, but it might explain some cases where power savings in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GNOME" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GNOME</span></a> are not as good as they could be.<br>What's really weird is that <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/WebKitGTK" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WebKitGTK</span></a> seems to encounter an additional bug on top of that, where it isn't random.</p>
