I put them down after a few hours. I hate when I get in a reading slump.That series was one of my favourites ever. I guess my mind just needs to sit with it for a while. I’m ok with that. :)

Rodrigo AraújoFinished <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Elantris" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Elantris</a>, Brandon’s first book and probably the last remaining full featured <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Cosmere" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Cosmere</a> novel on my reading list. Such a great book, with cool characters! Also, having read all of <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Mistborn" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Mistborn</a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Stormlight" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Stormlight</a>, it’s nice to notice how he’s evolved as a writer to have more complex characters.

Nachoxx. El imperio final (Brandon Sanderson). No me gusta dejar libros sin terminar de leer y éste es el primero que abandono en muchísimo tiempo, pero es que ha sido superior a mí. Tenía curiosidad por leer algo de este señor que tanto gusta a la chavalada y me ha quedado claro que esto no es para mí. No he llegado ni a las 200 páginas (menos de la tercera parte) antes de rendirme vencido por una historia que ya he leído mil veces y por unos personajes que parecen salidos directamente de un molde de arquetipos. Y en cuanto al sistema de magia que tanto había escuchado alabar como fenomenal y perfectamente documentado a mí más bien me ha parecido propio de un rolero que se flipa haciendo la ficha porque ha encontrado un agujero en las reglas que quiere explotar.
