Rainer KluteIn der InDesign-Sprechstunde.de berichtete ein Kollege von massiven Geschwindigkeitsproblemen mit <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/InDesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#InDesign</a> 2025. Leider ist er damit nicht alleine. Die aktuelle Version 20.2 weist immer noch eine Reihe von Problemen auf, weswegen ich auf meiner Website InDesign-Status.de auch weiterhin davon abrate, im professionellen Arbeitsumfeld mit der Version zu arbeiten. Bleibt bei 19.5.3, das läuft stabil(er).Wie ist es bei euch? 2024 oder 2025 im Einsatz?

Even things like Effects Layers and Masks, they're very of the physical. (1/3)

Otter SideI've been writing scripts for many of the programs I use to make life/work easier - I recently made one for <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/indesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#indesign</a> to select objects based on stroke width, and stroke and fill color, and will probably do something similar for <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/coreldraw" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#coreldraw</a> when I find the time and inspiration (there is one already, but while free, it's not opensource and I'm not sure if it even works in the latest version), a simple add-on for <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/blender" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#blender</a> with many nifty features for cleaning up 3D CAD models, like selecting objects based on similarity or size - but I haven't published them anywhere. I don't have a web page or anything like that and can't be bothered to join some random forum. Maybe I should set up a <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/github" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#github</a>? But then again, I don't like people all that much and going public would just mean people start pestering me with update and bug fix requests. Decisions, decisions.

Eugenia LWhen it comes to "page design"/DTP, most people know of InDesign, or the free Scribus. But there's another free tool too for all OSes (including Linux): Viva Designer. Very advanced, and with a good UI, albeit not open source.
