Tonight the nightly #GermanShepherd post must be this one, a repeat. "RB," aka "Saluda Ridge's Rbear Ryshka," aka in recent years here on my account as "His Ancientness." If he were still with me, he'd be turning 14yrs old overnight around 1am. But he's been gone 15 months now, and I will miss him forever. This photo--my favorite of his lifetime--is also the background on the latest book.

Nightly #GermanShepherd post: a shot from my former life: 4 magnificent critters, all gone now, each w/own specialty. L-R Jazzy, Mac, RB, and Paddy. I had very secure property! And very well managed livestock. Each also played a role in the service dog school and/or in clinical therapy.

My version of All in the Canine Family--they were all related. I believe this photo was taken around 2015.

Nightly #GermanShepherd post: meet Rory at approx 2.5wks old. He grew up to be a service dog and medical alert dog for an autistic teen boy who also had Type 1 Diabetes. He worked his job until his final day in 2019.

Nightly #GermanShepherd post. "Bear," one of the exemplary hero characters of my latest book, by far the most astute dog I ever knew for working with #autistic children, the most talented demo-dog I ever had, and the best four-footed teacher of staff trainers in a 30-yr career. His progeny are literally all over the globe now, working in service dog schools on every continent. He left us in 2014 and I still think of him every day.

Our #protests outside the Chinese embassy in #WashingtonDC attract a wide variety of people, including this handsome young man. We appreciate his commitment to protesting against the Chinese government's ongoing #genocide of the Uyghurs in East Turkistan (a.k.a. #Xinjiang).

Nightly #GermanShepherd post (even though it hasn't been very "nightly" lately, I am trying!). This is "Imme," gone for many years now, around 2008 with her young client. Imme was the avatar for my dead-bird account for a lot of years, and this photo is on the back cover of my new book.
