sgt1372<p>I just streamed &amp; watched the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/movies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>movies</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Queer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Queer</span></a> (2024) &amp; <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Anora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Anora</span></a> (2024). </p><p>Anora is a <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/BestPicture" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BestPicture</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/GoldenGlobe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GoldenGlobe</span></a> &amp; <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Oscar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Oscar</span></a> nominated movie. Queer was not given that honor but should have been so nominated too. </p><p>Queer is a "queer" movie &amp; Anora is <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/AnOfficerAndAGentleman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AnOfficerAndAGentleman</span></a>" meets a <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Russian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Russian</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/clusterfuck" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>clusterfuck</span></a> but I liked them &amp; would give them both a 7 out of 10. 😎</p><p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/DanielCraig" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DanielCraig</span></a> gives a great performance as an aging queer man living in Mexico who's main occupation in life (apart from being a sometime writer) is chasing anything younger in pants. He was nominated for a <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/BestActor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BestActor</span></a> Golden Globe award but not for an Oscar this year.☹️</p><p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/MickeyMadison" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MickeyMadison</span></a>, the heretofore unknown actress playing Anora in Anora gives a great Golden Globe &amp; Oscar nominated performance in the film.</p><p>Both movies are well worth watching IMO. If you haven't seen them yet, find &amp; watch them when/where you can.</p>
